What Is Sound Healing?
Sound healing is one of many forms of energy healing.
Almost everyone has heard about and believes in the healing properties of
music. Throughout human history, music has played a vital role in our
spiritual and emotional lives. Music often moves us to tears, or allows us
to re-experience a powerful memory. These properties of music are known in
all cultures.
What most people do not know is that sound and music likely developed with
our earliest human cultures as a method of attaining group consciousness and
shamanic states of ecstasy. Music and sound are still used heavily in
shamanic rites and trance induction rituals around the world. It is likely
that the first musical instruments, such as drums, were developed specifically
to take the psychic explorer into new realms of consciousness.
In our modern era, scientific research has led to a more extensive
understanding of exactly how music and sound can be used for their healing
energy.
In physics, there is an understanding of resonance. Resonance is the
observable fact that all substances have sound frequencies at which they
reverberate. Most of us are familiar with the technique of running a
finger around the top of a wine goblet and hearing it "sing" with a single
strong note. This singing is the sound of the glass reverberating at its
own particular resonant frequency. All objects have just such a resonant
frequency.
In sound healing, specific frequencies are used to stimulate
production of various chemicals and molecules in the human body. Some
healing energy frequencies also help to destroy undesirable foreign invaders such as bacteria,
parasites and viruses. Most people are familiar with the effect of a human
voice shattering a wine glass. Essentially the same technique is used in sound
healing to play the note at which a specific virus or bacterium resonates at
such a volume as to "shatter" the virus or bacterium. Sound wave energy is
therefore highly effective, while at the same time being non-invasive.
How Do Your Sound Healing Sessions Work?
I have a custom modified massage table with sound transducers built into it.
A sound transducer takes an auditory noise
that is transmitted through the air and converts it into a
kinesthetic healing energy experience that is transmitted
through the body. The sound transducers cause the entire massage table to
conduct the sound directly through your body. I also use a stereo with
normal speakers that allow your ears to experience the sound healing energy at the same time as
it is running through your body.
I use a series of sound healing energy compact discs with varying types of sound and
music on them. Some are natural sounds, and others are synthesized.
The sounds and music are specially designed to stimulate desirable states and/or
eliminate undesirable states.
What Is the Sound Healing With Light Healing Session?
I also own a brain stimulation machine (David
Paradise XL) which uses goggles that flash pulsing lights into the eyes of
the wearer. This device can be easily combined with a sound healing
session, and leads to an enhanced effect. The device operates upon the
"frequency following response" observed by neurologists. This is an effect
where brainwaves of a subject follow any pattern to which they are exposed.
For example, if the lights pulse at 9 Hz (9 times per second), then the
brainwaves of the wearer will begin to resonate at 9 Hz.
Note: Light healing is counter indicated for persons who have experienced
epilepsy or seizures
of any kind.
What Can Sound Healing Be Used For?
Sound healing energy can be used to overcome just about any problem. I have a
library of music and sounds to choose from, and am always adding to it. Here are
